Vaping-related illness non-existent in retail vapor shops

After nearly a decade of vaping, last summer, suddenly, there were numerous reports of e-cigarette users experiencing a serious lung illness, some of them resulting in death. Of course, after months of Vapor Industry hate, it was determined that the culprit was Vitamin E Acetate, which is not present in any e-liquid on the commercial market. None of these cases involved any retail vapor shop.

Since this topic doesn't actually apply to our business, I'll give you a general rundown, but if you really want to dive in, check out this link.

So, basically, the THC cartridges are at issue, specifically, black market THC cartridges, although this could be a concern with untrustworthy commercial manufacturers of these cartridges. Some manufacturers will fill in flavonoids from plants to reduce the amount of THC concentrate in a single cartridge, for the sake of increasing profit. This process leaves the final product with an air bubble as you flip them upside down, and savvy consumers can recognize this and opt out. A company created and patented a similar filler that does not alert the consumer in this way. It is my understanding that this patented product is safe for consumer use, but it does diminish the consumer's value without their knowledge.

Enter stage left: The clowns. Now, for whatever reason, this patent was honored by competitors, and they came up with their own variation of this filler, which happens to be very toxic. Then, clearly without testing their creation, these clowns made it widely available for purchase online, hence the danger of unscrupulous manufacturers utilizing this, and the absolute likelihood that black market THC cartridges could utilize it.

Hey clowns, you captains of industry, please leave the science to the scientists, you're not dressed for it.

Dear Vape Shops,

Thank you for bringing all of the hot, new products in. It upholds an exciting, fresh environment, which, some days, I need things like that to stay positive. You have provided me the opportunity to have sustainable success in my endeavor to rid myself of tobacco. Again, thank you very much.

Now a complaint. Once I find the vape that's right for me, not only do I hope you continue to support it by carrying the coils, I feel it is your DUTY. You did, after all, encourage me to buy it. If I cannot get the necessary hardware for this vape in the future, then it was by no definition a good recommendation.

Few, if any, industries can expect to treat their customers this way and retain them. Resolve this counter-productive behavior and I will write another thank you letter.
